Armend's is the laid-back, family friendly pizza place more reminiscent of New York than Naples. Forget Sinatra on the speakers, what tipped us off to the old-school Italian flavor we were about to behold was the soccer match playing on the large flat-screen in the open dining room.
Mirxhan Seji (pronounced mirjahn shea) and her husband Asim and son Armend moved to Southlake from Waterbury, Connecticut over 15 years ago and opened up their first restaurant on White's Chapel. Ten years ago they moved to their current location and began seriously focusing on pizza and pasta. The family's labor of love is now home to Southlake's best pizza.
Armend's garneres the top scores from our distinguished panel in four of the five categories including “Overall Taste”. The New York style thin crust was crispy and a little doughy- the perfect base for a near-perfect pie. The addition of their authentic tomato sauce and generous amounts of mozzarella had our taste buds buzzing. At a fair price per pie, Armend's has what your family craves with money left over for cannoli!
Best if you like: Serious pizza in a casual atmosphere
Can't miss: A great place to bring the kids
