Kenny is back for another State Championship run!
6. Drive– from off season conditioning and 7 on 7 tournaments to his desire to make himself a more complete baseball player (he plays third base) and quarterback- Kenny Hill just wants to be the best at his position.
5. Numbers don't lie – wanting to get better and actually getting better are two different stories. And over the last two seasons nothing has gotten in the way of his progress. Under modest use of the playbook as a sophomore he threw for 1,761 yards and 15 TDs. Upping the ante as a junior he took advantage of a wider arrange of plays while passing for 3,006 yards and 25 TDs.
4. SEC Bound- according to most every college football mind, the SEC is the height of college football. The SEC earned that reputation by signing the best prep talent year after year. So, when new Head Coach Kevin Sumlin left the University of Houston for the bright lights of Texas A&M he knew he needed another quality quarterback to keep up with the likes of LSU, Alabama, Florida and Auburn. They offered and Kenny accepted this past April.
3. There's no place like home – sure home cooking is a good thing, but we’re talking about a supportive family. One that not only puts their kids first, but relishes in providing them with every opportunity to succeed. From traveling the country for every sports tournament imaginable to making the grade in the classroom and being a good role model it seems the Hills have set up their children for success in life. Getting to know his parents, it’s easy to see why the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree.
2. He's Foxy! – not since Riley Dodge’s stomach bug has a single play made so much of a buzz. Simply put, Kenny willed his team on to victory with under a minute remaining in the 2011 5A semifinals. The lore of the fox and Kenny’s heroic 35-yard touchdown run to defeat Dallas Skyline 28-24 has already become one for the ages.
1. Been there done that – numbers don’t lie and neither do championships…
