Southlake Town Square was abuzz with excitement this past Saturday afternoon as Kristin Cavallari, of MTV's Laguna Beach and The Hills fame, paid a visit to Francesca's to promote her fourth shoe collection in collaboration with Chinese Laundry. DJ Sno White kept the crowd energized as the line of fans eager to meet Kristin and purchase a pair of her fabulous fall shoes extended well past Mi Cocina. Prior to the meet-and-greet, Southlake Style was inside Francesca's for an exclusive interview.
"Whether it's shoes, jewelry or decorating my house, I'm all about simplicity," explained Kristin, who now calls Chicago home with her husband, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and their toddler son, Camden. "So there's nothing too crazy in my collection that you'll wear once and throw in the back of your closet and be done with. All of my shoes can really complete an outfit and just give it a little something extra."
Standouts from Kristin's newest collection include the nude Celestial shoe, which she wore during her appearance, and several variations of fall's hottest style, the bootie. Kristin, who first served as a fashion blogger for Chinese Laundry before vocalizing her desire to create her own shoe line, gushed over one style in particular — the cognac-colored Raylin bootie. "It's the perfect fall shoe," she said. "Obviously, fall and football go hand-in-hand, so I've been wearing those to games with jeans, a Bears shirt and a blazer."
