Christmas came early this year to Grapevine Relief And CommunitybrExchange (GRACE) when Exxon Mobil Corporation CEO and chairman Rex Tillersonbrpresented the charity a holiday gift of $50,000. The gift will advance thebrcharity's relief efforts for homeless clients and families with limited income.br
Tillerson established the holiday gift in 2006 to providebrsupport to North Texas nonprofit agencies during the holiday.
“GRACE makes a difference to hundreds of families in NorthbrTexas,” says Tillerson. “We hope this gift will further GRACE's compassionatebrservice to our neighbors during the holiday season.”
Founded in 1987, GRACE offers emergency-assistance programs, brmedical services, transitional-housing placements, food, clothing and otherbrnecessities to more than 4,5000 individuals and families annually.
“This gift is a huge blessing to GRACE and the community webrserve,” says Shonda Schaefer, executive director of GRACE. “Thanks to thebrgenerosity of ExxonMobil we will be able to create opportunity and hope for 500bradditional families.”
