The retail development is staged to open its doors in Novemberbrof 2014, with an official launch party slated for March 2015. The purpose ofbrtwo grand openings will be to accommodate the holiday seasons for the retailersbrin 2014 and then a grand opening for restaurants in 2015.
The project will consist of morebrthan 190,000 square feet and will sit on 22 acres of land. The development on the southwest corner of Carroll Avenue and Southlake Boulevard. The developmentbrincludes specialty retailers such as REI, Gloria's, Ra Sushi and Orvis.brAdditionally, a gourmet grocer and major running company will also host storesbrwithin Park Village.
“I think what it's going to do andbrdeliver for what Southlake doesn't already have is the Thursday, Friday andbrSaturday night restaurant atmosphere,” explains Park Village Vice PresidentbrPeter Jacobsen. “We are going to cluster a good number of places for people tobrcome late in the afternoon and stay until late evening.”
Anotherbraspect Park Village will feature is specific retailers and restaurants thatbrfocus on the active, healthy lifestyle. Consequently, the American retailbrcorporation REI will act as the catalyst for this portion of Park Village.
FortbrWorth-based The Woodmount Co. broke ground on construction in December. Currently,brthe project is more than 50-percent leased to tenants. The space for tenantsbrranges from 800 square feet to 12,000 square feet.
Update: The development recently released additional tenants to occupy the 22 acres of land.
Various restaurants and businesses are setting up shop in Park Village, including Luna Grill, Mesa Veracruz Coastal Cuisine, Modmarket, Potbelly and the Lash Lounge.
Keeping in line with the Park Village theme of healthy living, Modmarket will provide fresh, healthy eats at a cost-effective price.
The restaurant prides itself of serving food that is good, reasonably priced and served quickly. The ingredients come from farms, not brand products.
Colleyville's own The Lash Lounge is making its way to Southlake. This high-end, beauty salon specializes in semi-permanent eyelash extensions.
At the end of February, the Woodmount Company confirmed The Fresh Market would be the gourmet grocer in Park Village. Similar to Whole Foods and Central Market, the North-Carolina-based speciality grocer focuses on fresh foods and prepared meals.
Silver Lake CrossingsbrReveals First Development
The first commercial development in Grapevine's Silver LakebrCrossings project was unveiled, revealing a single hotel building, whichbrcontains two hotel brands.
Dubbed the “dual-branded” hotels,brthe project includes a Courtyard by Marriott and a TownePlace Suites bybrMarriott. The property is managed by NewcrestImage and owned by Metro GrapevinebrHotels. The complex is located at S.H. 26 and Bass Pro Court, which is twobrminutes from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
The commercial development takes upbr10 acres of Silver Lake Crossings, which was proposed in 2009 but was delayedbrdue to the economic downturn. Construction on the twin hotels began in thebrsummer of 2012. Both hotels together cost roughly $42 million. Starting ratesbrfor both hotels are $199 a night.
Although the hotels have individualbrentrances, they share the same management and sales teams, as well as the samebrhousekeeping staff. The properties will share an outdoor swimming pool, anbrexercise facility and a meeting place that includes a ballroom.
Upon completion, Silver LakebrCrossings is expected to have 46,500 square feet of restaurant space as well asbra 5,800-square-foot fuel and convenience center.
