Connor Hendrickson, 2014brCarroll graduate and former Dragon runner, represented Team USA at the Pan American Junior Championships in Edmonton, Canada. Hendrickson won Gold in thebr10,000 meters with a time of 30:46. He traded for the lead several timesbrthroughout the race but pulled away with 800 meters and then extended his leadbrwith 250 meters to go.
Hendrickson's final milebrwas under 4:20 and his last lap at 1:03. This was the single fastest time of allbrcompetitors throughout the 24-lap race. Hendrickson is entering his sophomorebryear at The University of Texas majoring in architectural engineering. He willbrcompete again this fall for the Longhorn Cross Country team.
