Carroll High School alumnus and Southern Methodist University sophomore Bryce Klein posted a 407.25 on the 1-meter to set a school record in a dual-meet loss at Texas A&M Jan. 29, according to SwimSwam. The Mustangs secured first-place points in six of 13 events at the meet. "Klein’s record-breaking performance was good for first, and his mark was well over the qualification score for the NCAA Zone Diving meet in both the 1- and 3-meter," SwimSwam reported. Earlier in January, Klein was named American Athletic Conference Diver of the Week, but it wouldn't be his last crowning achievement. The former Dragon leads the conference in earning this honor, capturing it five times this year (Feb. 2, Jan. 12, Nov. 24, Nov. 10, Nov. 3). Klein has posted NCAA-qualifying scores this year. He heads to the Zone meet in the 1- and 3-meter for 2016. In the USA Diving Winter Nationals, Klein placed 11th in the 3-meter event and 10th in the synchronized 3-meter dive. His total score was 1162.90 between the three rounds of 3-meter competition. Information courtesy of SwimSwam.
