For the second week in a row, the Dragons put up six scores to defeat their opponent; this time against heated rival Trinity. Carroll beat the Trojans, 42-28.
Tied at 28 apiece at the half, the defense held the opponent to zero points in the second half. Key plays on defense included a blocked field goal by Jacob Doddridge, as well as an interception by John Miscoll.

Miscoll, the First Financial Bank Player of the week had a huge game in addition to his interception, forcing a fumble, deflecting one pass and registering 12 tackles. He had the second most tackles in the game for Carroll, behind Matt Werner. Doddridge had seven tackles.
Eric Spitler applied plenty of pressure on the opposing quarterback, rushing him once and sacking him twice. He also had four tackles in the game. Luke Jeter and Jacob Copeland also registered one sack each.
On offense, Audricke Gaines had another impressive outing, scoring all three of the running game's touchdowns. He rushed 31 times for 171 yards, averaging five and a half yards per carry. Not to be overlooked, Mason Holmes had his best performance of the season as he threw three touchdowns while completing 71 percent of his passes for a total of 217 yards. He also showed poise under pressure rushing for 80 yards on the ground.
Robert Barnes led the receiving efforts with three catches for 94 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Davis pulled in five for 68 and a score, while Jack Johansson had two receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown.
Kole Ramage was perfect on point after attempts and booted a 46-yard punt that was downed inside the 20.
Up next, Carroll heads back out on the road to face Lewisville on Friday at 7:30 p.m. They are now 4-1 on the season and perfect in district action.
