While our Community Rally was rescheduled to March 1 due to inclement weather, the athletes celebrated in our latest Dragon Pride issue have had their fair share of carrying on through uncertainty, and yes, even rain.
For example, the Carroll cross country team had to stick it out and run through mud to reach their goals. Featured swimmer Jack LeVant reflects on the challenge of waking up early in the cold winter months, only to submerge himself in a pool at practice. The Dragon Boys Basketball team faced massive amounts of uncertainty as they entered the season with only two varsity seniors.
In the spirit of Dragon Pride, we are excited to celebrate these athletes next week. The party will kick off Thursday at 4:30 p.m. with appetizers from Craft & Vine and sweet treats from Cinnaholic. Other festivities include lessons on twisting balloon dragons, an exciting competition on the onsite basketball court and a lively DJ spinning some of your favorite hits. Warm up your skills now before going toe to toe in a round of Basketball Knockout against some of Carroll's finest.
