Southlake City Council approved a new business to come to Southlake at its June 7 meeting, according to Dallas-Fort Worth Community Impact Newspaper.
Manny's Uptown Tex-Mex Restaurante, which has locations in Uptown and on Campbell Road - both in Dallas - will open shop at Wyndham Plaza, 151 N. Nolen Drive.
The tex-mex restaurant was founded in 2005 by retired Army veteran Manny Rios. After learning the restaurant business - inspired by his father Charlie, a chef - Rios opened the Uptown location.
City council also approved a new patio area with 40 additional seats and a masonry fireplace, Community Impact said. The site was formerly occupied by Souper Salads and Smoothie Factory.
