Gastronomy is in Raj Thomas’ blood. Growing up, blending spices and flavors became a regular pastime for Raj since one side of his family was Italian while the other side was Indian. After he was classically trained in French cooking at the Florida Culinary Institute, Raj went to work under acclaimed chefs such as Gary Hoof, Victor Scotto and Bobby Flay. Today, Raj continues exercising his kitchen skills as the executive chef for The Westin’s own restaurant, Jellico’s.
A true lover of international cuisine, Raj’s passion for cooking comes from a deep love of global cuisine and bringing it to your tableside. Diners will love diving into the roasted poblano and white bean dip, while the spicy shrimp tostada brings an extra crunch to your meal. And if the Southlake Burger doesn’t make your mouth water, then the Petite Filet Mignon certainly will.
With an emphasis on North Texas ingredients, Raj’s spicy and bold flavors can be tasted in every bite at Jellico’s.
