WHAT IS YOUR HEALTHCARE PASSION? My passion is service. The opportunity to use medicine and science to help others is what drew me into the medical field. I was taught that altruism and uplift are the tools for a fulfilling life. I decided to give my life to uplifting others, and medicine was the gateway to accomplishing that.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR PARTICULAR SPECIALTY? As a medical student, I thought, “How could anyone ever get bored being a dermatologist?” Dermatologists are surgeons, pathologists, pediatricians, internists and scientists. This field gives me the opportunity to choose my path.
WHAT IS THE MOST REWARDING PART OF YOUR JOB? Seeing my patient’s gratification is truly rewarding. It is fun and fulfilling to solve a patient’s concern with treatments and procedures that often bring quick and satisfying results.
ARE THERE ANY NEW PROCEDURES OR TECHNOLOGIES THAT YOU OFFER? One of the great new advances in dermatology is the use of Platelet-Rich Plasma for hair restoration. Prism Dermatology also offers the SplendorX laser that is state-of-the-art for its hair removal capabilities and useful in treating acne and acne scarring.
