A common misconception is that podiatrists don’t perform surgery. At Academy Foot & Ankle Specialists, our team of highly trained podiatrists perform surgery on the foot and ankle, as well as conservative care for all ages. Podiatrists treat everything from the ankle down, including the skin, ligaments, tendons, muscles and bone. Everything from ingrown nails to sports injuries. We always exhaust conservative options before opting for surgery.
