After seeing Southlake Style’s job posting for an office coordinator in 2019 mention of working with golden retrievers, Kelly Smith-Rose was sold. She does have two of her own golden girls at home, but she loves watching Rory follow her around the office looking for treats.
As office coordinator, Kelly keeps up with the publication’s bookkeeping, ensuring that all accounts are up to date. And if you hear a “Good morning” when you call the Southlake Style office, there’s a good chance it’s her cheery voice on the other line.
Kelly says the most rewarding part of her job is, “our super nice customers and our events.” When she’s not at work, Kelly is a volunteer extraordinaire and a top fundraiser for Susan G. Komen, serving on the boards of the Me Squared Cancer Foundation and Mammogram Poster Girls and as a volunteer for Spark Ministry. Being a breast cancer survivor herself, she feels called to give back to organizations that help so many women throughout the local area and the country with her mission trips.
When she’s on the go or traveling with her husband, Ken, Kelly always has her reading glasses and pink lipstick in her purse.
