The Community Storehouse is excited to announce the 2019 Annual Hope Dinner and Concert at the elegant Fort Worth Omni Hotel on March 2.
Last year, more than 600 people came out to support the thousands of low-income children in our community that need us. As we celebrate our 17th annual event, we are sure to bring you a night filled with entertainment for a great cause. The event will be held on March 2, 2019, at 6 p.m. The evening will include a complimentary cocktail hour, three-course dinner and silent and live auction all preceding an intimate concert by country music artist Jack Ingram. Christian Community Storehouse positively changes educational outcomes for low-income children. All proceeds from this event go directly to support the local low-income children. With the help of our community, we are able to provide education and literacy programs, along with nutritional and hygiene support to children who need it.
In the past year, we have started new programs, like our Little Learners. This program provides early learning opportunities to prepare children, ages 2-4 years old, for school. We have also grown our existing programs; we now offer our after-school Book Club three days a week, during the school year.
Children born to generational poverty or experiencing the consequences of a household crisis such as income loss, the unexpected death of a parent or the sudden terminal illness of a family member are much more likely to fail in school. In 2018, more than 46,000 services valued at over $1.8 million were provided to low-children and their families. We have seen a huge increase of children seeking our services; we hope you will partner together with us for this special night of giving.
