A new high-intensity training studio opened in Southlake this past weekend to help shed residents’ quarantine weight. Founded five years ago in Australia, F45 is a fitness franchise that unifies cardio and resistance training through intense 45-minute workout sessions. With over 500 studios nationally and 91 studios in Texas, Southlake studio manager Brittani Miller says two nationally certified trainers sit in on every class to provide individual instruction to each participant.
“It really is personal training in a group setting,” Brittani says. “They come over to you and give you direct instruction instead of yelling at you in a mic across the room.”
Brittani says F45 has over 2,700 exercises and 36 workouts in its database to keep up the pace in every class. For those worried about safety precautions during a pandemic, Brittani assures that the studio has taken extra steps to keep everyone safe. Not only do all of the trainers wear masks and deep clean after every workout, but the studio also has periodic ultraviolet disinfection on its equipment and a medical-grade HEPA filter to purify the room every 30 minutes.
Brittani says what makes F45 unique to other gyms in the area is how accessible it is to all members, no matter where they are at in their fitness journey.
“It’s really made for any athletic ability level,” she says. “We can have an ex-NFL player in the same room with somebody’s grandma, and they can complete the workout in the same way. They’re able to modify the routine in a way that makes everybody able to do it.”
The studio is now open at 1241 E. State Hwy. 114, Suite 120. To learn more about F45, call 817.930.2648 or visit F45Training.com.
