Rockbox Fitness
A new boxing studio is powering through Southlake later this month.
Founded in 2017, Rockbox Fitness is a kickboxing studio that incorporates boxing movements into functional fitness exercises. General manager Aaron Brodie says the studio is retrofitted with strobe lights and stereo speakers to get attendants pumped and moving.
“It’s fight club meets night club,” Aaron says. “It’s very high-energy, very fun and lots of people enjoy it.”
Aaron says Rockbox is community-inclusive and accessible, tailoring its workouts to everybody regardless of their shape or skill level. Equipment is cleaned and sterilized in between classes, and stations are socially distanced from each others so attendants can work out with a peace of mind.
Aaron says the franchise owners chose to open a gym in Southlake because it represents the same things that Rockbox does.
“Southlake is a close, tight-knit community, and that’s something that we value,” Aaron says. “We want to add value to that by giving it an outlet to build and network in this community. It’s energetic, exciting and fun, so we just want others to come in and have a great time with one another.”
Rockbox Fitness is aiming to open at 100 N. Kimball Ave., Suite 105 around June 28. For more information on the new fitness concept, visit RockboxFitness.com.
