More than 70 businesses will benefit from new cash grants courtesy of Lipton Iced Tea later this month. Partnering with the support organization Rural LISC, Lipton Iced Tea will award 72 cash grants to restaurants and food-related businesses in rural America. The cash grants are worth $2,500 each and will help rural businesses recover from COVID-19 and other recent natural disasters.
According to a media release, independently owned restaurants, food trucks, commercial kitchens and caterers in communities with fewer than 50,000 people are eligible to apply for the grants. Businesses will be selected through a process that prioritized challenged businesses, including those owned by women, veterans and people of color. The finalists will then be randomly selected from the top-scoring applicants. Businesses have until Friday, June 25 to apply. To learn more, visit LISC.org.
