Hilton Dallas Southlake Town Square is the recipient of the 2019 Connie Award. The Connie Award, the highest hotel across all the brands across Hilton Worldwide, is given out based on a hotel’s guest service scores, guest cleanliness scores and Hilton’s evaluation of the quality of the product, according to Hilton Dallas Southlake Town Square general manager Mike Hutchison.
“For the last 10 years — all but one — we have been in the top five, but we have never quite finished first,” Mike says. “It’s pretty cool that our little hotel in Southlake has always been in the top 10 and top five, and now we finally got the win.”
The Southlake hotel won the Connie Award in the Americas category, meaning they were up against hotels throughout not only the United States but also those in North, Central and South America. Mike says that’s just shy of 300 Hilton locations. There are two groups within this category: hotels that have less than 500 rooms and hotels that have more than 500 rooms.
Look out for the new bust that will identify this honor that will soon stand by the Southlake Hilton’s trophy case. Another aspect of this honor includes a $5,000 prize for Hilton to use to do something special for its employees. Mike shares that due to the recent new coronavirus, he has had to layoff more than 100 employees, so he will wait until after the coronavirus passes to ensure that a larger portion of his staff can benefit.
