VariSpace will open its new campus in Southlake. Located at 1 Kirkwood Blvd., this flexible workspace will occupy the former Vista at Solana location. After it opens, companies will have the chance to lease different move-in ready office spaces, and all of its short-term and long-term spaces are furnished by VariDesk.
VariDesk co-founder and CEO Jason McCann says the company was attracted to Southlake because of its proximity to both Dallas and Forth.
“With the pre-leasing success of our first location, VariSpace Las Colinas, we were encouraged to provide additional locations for business looking for flexible office space and lease terms,” McCann says. “We have a number of fans that have installed our full-line of office solutions in the Southlake area so we are very familiar with the former Solana property.”
Mayor Laura Hill told MySouthlakeNews.com that she is excited for what this project will bring to the city.
“Southlake is the perfect place for VariSpace,” said Southlake Mayor Laura Hill via MySouthlakeNews.com. “When we envisioned what kind of company would make this space come alive, this is what we had in mind: future-ready and forward-thinking. Congratulations to VariSpace on their success, and I’d like to be the first to welcome them to Southlake!”
VariSpace is currently converting the building for multi-tenant and adding in premier amenities including a café, social area, fitness center, meeting rooms and coffee bar. But McCann says VariSpace sees this building as a smart investment.
“The building had a new parking garage (featuring an incredible 7:1 parking), but the single tenant building had been vacant for many years,” McCann says. ‘We believed with the right vision and investment, it could be another place for us to offer enterprise space-as-a-service to multiple tenants. The fact that the building has won numerous awards and recognitions was icing on the cake. The design and architecture of the space was lauded as the ‘Best of 2008’ by 'Texas Construction,' received a ‘Merit Award’ from The American Society of Landscape Architects, and has received multiple other awards and recognitions.”
The Southlake VariSpace is currently estimated to open late spring or early summer of 2020. They are currently leasing and setting up tours for interested clients. Learn more on the company’s website VariSpace.com.
