“Visitors will discover more of what they love this summer while enjoying our sparkling pools, family-friendly activities, live entertainment and delicious dining!” — Martha Neibling, PR Director
For over 20 years, the Gaylord Texan has been creating wonderful summertime memories for families at its 10-acre waterpark and resort. That tradition continues through this year’s annual SummerFest, which brings more thrills, adventure and fun than ever before.
Running through Sept. 4, the Gaylord Texan’s SummerFest features a variety of pirate and princess-themed activities that the whole family can enjoy. At the Adventure Kids’ Clubhouse, your swashbuckling crew can tune into their inner artist and create treasured pieces that would make any young pirate jealous. The Hidden Treasure Hide and Sea-K allows treasure hunters to follow a long-lost pirate map and uncover hidden gems throughout 4 acres of gardens and winding waterways. Young adventurers are also invited to an interactive live show as they discover the wonders of summer alongside Sophie the Adventure Kid and all of her Texan pals.
Back by popular demand this year is Summer Cirque, a live show where performers achieve daring aerial feats and show-stopping balancing acts that will take your breath away. The Junior Chef’s Camp allows the young aspiring chef to become a culinary apprentice, while the Buccaneer Bash dance party allows everyone to get loose on the dance floor. Families will have to race against the clock if they’re trapped inside one of the escape rooms, and the Ahoy, Matey! Animal Encounters brings you up close to some of the resort’s most exotic creatures. Plus the all-new Illuminate The Night Light Show fills the atrium with a stunning kaleidoscope of colors that will entrance you with its beauty.
Even more summer fun awaits at Paradise Springs, the 10-acre outdoor waterpark that has everything from a 600-foot-long lazy river and winding waterslides to a 6,000-square-foot family lagoon and a giant water treehouse. Private cabanas provide additional shade, TVs and soft seating for extra comfort, and the Relache Spa offers soothing treatments for the body, mind and soul through its rejuvenating massages and sauna. And while the kids are away, the adults get to play with chef-curated food and spirit pairings and sommelier-led wine dinners.
So what are you waiting for? Grab your swimsuit, dive into the Gaylord Texan and make this SummerFest an unforgettable one!
