Be A Tourist At Home, Explore Southlake’s Public Art
Did you know that Southlake has more than 25 pieces of public art? Some of the larger pieces live in the city’s roundabouts, but there are some hidden gems scattered around the city.
Driven by the city’s public arts master plan, all of the pieces in the collection have been carefully selected to help enrich the cultural life of the community through the arts. Several of the pieces have been designed to create an interactive experience with the viewer.
You can stop and take a selfie in front of the “I Believe In Southlake” mural on the northwest side of Southlake Town Hall, or stop and take a picture with “Prairie Winds” surrounded by native Texas wildflowers in Bicentennial Park.
If you don’t feel like braving the summer heat, take a driving tour of all the roundabout art in Southlake. See if you can find the mocking birds in “Mocking Bird Tree” in the roundabout at Tower Place and Zena Rucker Road.
