The University Interscholastic League released it's 2012-2014 Reclassification and Realignment Thursday morning. With plenty of speculation swirling on where Carroll would land in its new district, the verdict finally arrived and the anticipation ended. Carroll is moving to District 4-5A and remains joined with Northwest and the Keller ISD schools (Keller, Fossil Ridge, Keller Central). The new opponents include Haltom, Richland and Keller Timber Creek.
The new districts begin competition in the fall of 2012. Carroll loses top rival Coppell, Saginaw and Denton Guyer, which dropped to Class 4A. Carroll's bi-district is 3-5A and includes the Arlingon ISD schools (Arlington, Lamar, Sam Houston, Bowie and Martin), Paschal, North Crowley and Weatherford. These are opponents for first-round playoff matchups for the next two years.
