The Carroll Education Foundation of Southlake is spicing upbrlife with its annual CulinarybrCelebration to raise funds that support the innovative teacher grants andbrstudent scholarships that will benefit the following school year.
The Southlake CEF Culinary Celebration will protect thebrtradition of successful education by celebrating from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. onbrSaturday, September 6 at the Dallas/Southlake Town Square Hilton.
"Our annual Culinary Celebration is such a funbrSouthlake event, but most importantly I feel it greatly benefits thebrcommunity,” explains Carroll Education Foundation executive director KacybrHankins. Since 1996, CEF has provided additional funding to enrich thebreducation at CISD and continues to be a major contributor towards enhancedbrprogramming.”
She continues, “We encourage the entire community to getbrinvolved and attend this year's fundraiser, so that together we can provide thebrnecessary tools needed for Carroll students to be able to compete and succeedbrin our society.”
Last year, the foundation donated $75,000 to Carroll ISD tobrfund teachers' grants and $17,500 in scholarships for graduating students.
The culinary celebration will feature dozens of NortheastbrTarrant County chefs, a live and silent auction, big board and chef tablebrauction to honor this year's theme of the 1960's “Peace, Love, Dragons.”
Local chefs and restaurants will serve up various good eats,brincluding Nothing Bundt Cakes, Copeland's, Del Frisco's Grille, Mi Dia frombrScratch, Brio Tuscan Grille, Truluck's Seafood, Steak and Crabhouse, and FnGbrEats to name just a few.
Furthermore, Grapevine Craft Brewery will serve its premiumbrhand-crafted creations during this celebration of food and education.
Tie dye, grooviness and peace will reign as CEF kicks off ofbrthe night with CISD bands, choirs and student groups performing for thebrattendees.
Additionally, celebrity guests will be at the event,brincluding Scott Murray and Celena Rae.
“To date, CEF has funded more than $1 million dollars inbrteachers' grants and scholarships for graduating CISD seniors,” Hankis says. “Excellencebrin education is our goal and we will strive for nothing less. Come joinbrus and help us raise money for the children of Southlake!"
