Cutter Sippel: Pitcher
Despite being benched with an injury last season, Cutter Sippel's all-time favorite baseball memory is from the recent 6A UIL State Championship game.
“Winning state is definitely my best memory so far,” he says. “All the dog piles and just the excitement. And now coming home and seeing how happy everyone is for us. It's kind of crazy.”
Rested and recovered, the Dragon pitcher has a promising year ahead of him. In 2017, he threw a 10-strikeout shutout against Arlington Martin, resulting in the Dragon's advancement to the state tournament for the first time since 2008. Heralded by local news outlets as one of the Dragon Baseball's best players, Cutter's talents quickly caught the eyes of recruiters. He has already committed to play at Texas Christian University upon graduating.
And Cutter's strengths extend far beyond his pitching arm. He is a member of the National Honor Society and Young Men's Service League (YMSL), a nonprofit organization that encourages young men and their mothers to engage in serving their community together. Between academic and athletic successes, expect great things from Cutter.
