Southlake Carroll vs. Coppell Cowboys
The Dragons finished off their first district season under head coach Riley Dodge undefeated. Now, they will hope to bring that streak into postseason play as they take on the Coppell Cowboys at home this Saturday. Venture over to Dragon Stadium at 2 p.m. to see if Riley Dodge’s No. 1 goal for the season comes to fruition: practicing on Thanksgiving Day.
Home for the Holidays
Get into the holiday spirit during Southlake’s beloved annual event, Home for the Holidays. On Saturday, locals will start gathering in Southlake Town Square at 4:30 p.m. to enjoy a variety of holiday activities including snow hill tubing, live entertainment, carriage ride and much more. At 6 p.m., the whole night will come to life as the gigantic Christmas tree in front of Town Hall is lit. The city is also giving guests the opportunity to give back by accepting toy and food donations for Christmas is for Children!
The Trains at NorthPark benefiting Ronald McDonald House
Your kids will fall in love at the elaborate miniature exhibits at this year’s Trains at NorthPark. The annual event kicks off this Saturday and will feature 1,800 feet of tracks sporting different trains traveling around the country. Dallas’ own Nasher Sculpture Center, SMU and Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge will be featured as well as destinations like New York’s Time Square, The White House and the Grand Canyon. The exhibit runs until January 6, so you still have time to head out to Dallas if you can’t make it over this weekend.
GM Financial Fort Worth Parade of Lights
On Sunday night, Fort Worth will light up with more than half-a-million lights during the GM Financial Fort Worth Parade of Lights. Come out to watch the 1.59-mile route make its way downtown. The parade’s floats will include festive characters, dynamic sets and lots of bright colors. It’s one night your kids will remember and look forward to next year.
“The Grinch” Special Screening from Southlake Style
For a fun and family-filled Saturday, join Southlake Style for a private screening of The Grinch on November 18. In addition to donating 100 percent of proceeds to GRACE, we will also be collecting unwrapped toys to be donated to GRACE Christmas Cottage. Seats are limited, so grab your tickets and help us spread holiday cheer!
