21st Annual Butterfly Flutterby
Does your little girl love butterflies? Embrace her passion by heading out to Grapevine's 21st annual Butterfly Flutterby this Saturday. The family- and pet-friendly event will include a butterfly costume parade, interactive games, crafts and much more. There will be butterfly releases at three different times – 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – so your chances of seeing these beautiful creatures up close is pretty high. So grab your wings and fly on over for your chance to be a part of the fun.
Let your kids build your own fun at Legoland's Brick or Treat starting this Saturday. The Halloween Party will include a pumpkin patch build, where kids can build their own spooky pumpkins and add it to their growing collection, and a monster-filled MINILAND, where some of the most famous monsters from movies will be spread throughout the exhibit. Don't forget to dress your kids for their costume contests! You may even walk away with an annual pass if you share your picture on Facebook with the hashtag #LDCMonsterMash! The fun runs October 20 – 28, and you can buy your tickets on their website.
Let your pups join in on the Halloween fun by stopping by Dallas' sixth annual Howl-O-Ween at MUTTS this Saturday. Dogs are invited to come out, dressed to impress of course, and participate in their costume contests judged by an array of celebrity judges like Scooby the corgi, Nelson the golden doodle, Walter the wolf hound and Lennon the yorkie. And dog owners will enjoy MUTTS’ specialty drinks and judging all of the dogs’ outfits for themselves. Regardless of the results, we know they are all good doggos.
To continue the dog-fun, head over to DFW Pug Rescue's 22nd annual Pug-O-Ween on Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Grapevine Convention Center. This group is one of the largest pug rescues in the U.S., and they are celebrating some adorable pups by holding a themed party. The day will include a parade and costume contest as well as a variety of vendors, a kissing booth, a bake sale and much more.
