Lexi de Mayo at Earthwise Petcare is a true family event that celebrates all of our four-legged family members. Held on May 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the party is named after Lexi, a local Labrador who happily tests products such as food and treats at Earthwise Pet.
Her role at the store has earned Lexi the title of “the one and only test Lab.” This adorable Southlake celebrity reminds us all that our pets are more than just our dogs and cats: They are our children, brothers and sisters. Earthwise Pet in Southlake, a locally owned family business, sponsors the event.
Last year, Lexi’s birthday set a world record by having 253 dogs participate in the world’s largest dog birthday party. This year’s goal is to have more than 300. Featuring free food, entertainment and huge below-cost discounts, Lexi de Mayo is fun for all.
The primary purpose of the event is to have fun and celebrate all our furry family members. The second purpose is to say thanks to everyone who has supported Lexi and her parents (Dawn and Joe) over the last few years.
Through this event, they aim to give back to their local business partners and friends by allowing them to have a fun non-stressful way to showcase what they do for the community. This year there will be over 30 tents filled with only local business owners, Earthwise Petcare vendors and four pet rescue organizations. Entertainment will include fun activities such as puppy yoga and two large inflatable bounce houses.
But how can you have a party without having a little pre-party fun? The week leading up to the party (April 29 – May 3) is Lexi’s Scavenger Hunt. This is a “play when you can” activity, which means you come to the store anytime between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., pick up an official scavenger hunt sheet and enjoy finding all the Lexi signs throughout the shopping center. The game can be played by any child 12 and under while accompanied by an adult. Prizes will be given at the end of the hunt.

- J Tiger Martial Arts Demonstration - 12 p.m.
- Southlake Fire Engine Tours – 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- Inflatable Bounce House (Ages 12 and under)
- Inflatable Slide (Ages 12 and under)
- Four pet rescues (Dallas DogRRR, PAWS for Irving Animals & DF2FM and DFW Lab Rescue) and one pet food collection organization (Don’t Forget to Feed Me)
- Free photo booth
- Self-wash will be $10 cash all day and 100 percent of all funds collected will be divided between the four pet organizations

- Official doggy sign in, so we can go for a new world record
- Personally meet several of our great local businesses
- Huge discounts in the store for just the day of the party
