Cole Malone and his mom, Karen care about other people. The activities they participate in tell you that. Cole, a 16yr old Sophomore at Carroll High School, was a Boy Scout for 10 years. His mom, Karen, delivers hot meals to home-bound elderly members of the community with Metroport Meals on Wheels.
On March 6, riding his bike home from a Scout meeting at the church, Cole was struck by a car. He was CareFlighted to the hospital where doctors realized he has suffered irreparable brain trauma. In keeping with their core value of caring for others, Cole's organs have been donated.
His kind and gentle spirit will live on, not only in our precious memories, but also through these recipients. As a community, we are doing all we can to support Karen though this tragedy. One burden we hope to ease is the financial one that comes with an unexpected, devastating loss. Please help us honor the life of Cole and support Karen with a donation to help cover medical and funeral expenses.
Thank you all for your unreserved outpouring of love and compassion. If you would prefer, you can also donate at any Frost Bank location. Simply indicate that the donation is for the "Cole Malone Memorial Fund".
