Southlake’s May 2021 election results are in. John Huffman will act as Southlake’s new mayor after winning 70.54% of the vote, earning 6,618 votes. His opponent Debra Edmondson received 29.46% of the vote, or 2,764 votes.
In the Southlake City Council Place 2 election, Randy Robbins received 70.4% of the vote, or 6,523 votes. His opponent Sabreena Hakemy received 29.6% of the vote, or 2,742 votes.
In the Southlake City Council Place 5 election, Amy Torres-Lepp received 69.94% of the vote, or 6,515 votes. Her opponent Elisha Rurka earned 30.06% of the vote, or 2,800 votes.
In the CISD School Board Place 4 race, Cameron “Cam” Bryan received 68.47% of the vote, with 6,849 votes cast. His opponent Lynda Warner received 31.53% of the vote, with 3,154 votes cast.
In the CISD School Board Place 5 race, Hannah Smith received 69.04% of the vote, with 6,885 votes cast. Her opponent Ed Hernandez received 30.96% of the vote, with 3,087 votes cast.
According to its website, Tarrant County’s general turnout was 14.15%, with 165,661 total votes cast.
