What started with a few tweets has turned into an Internet sensation with several local police departments competing in a viral lip sync challenge. You may have relived "Flashdance" favorites with Grapevine DPS or laughed at Flower Mound's confidence-boosting rendition on "Me Too," but we got an extra kick out of video Southlake PD dropped last week. They flipped the script by asking the participating officers to really sing along to their selections. And as soon as the beat dropped or the refrain picked up, the produced video dropped the professional track and left the officers singing their hearts out without music.
While all of the officers knew about this switch before the video was released, it was still fun to watch these officers belt out their song of choice. And it got the job done. It has since been shared hundreds of time on social media. One thing is for sure, it put smiles on our faces.
