Spicar's Martial Arts, the leading martial artsbrschool in Southlake would like to invite you and your family for a fun daybrfilled with high-octane action. We are hosting a professional martial artsbrtournament! Come see local student compete and show off their best martial artsbrskills. We are expecting around 500 local DFW competitors - this tournament isbrhuge! Participants will compete in fighting forms and sparring.
“In forms students show off their physicalbrabilities, control, speed, balance and precision. Forms train our mind andbrmuscle memory and also self-defense skills”, says Adam Spicar, the owner. Andbrthen he adds: “Sparring is considered the most thrilling to spectators. You getbrto see students throw kicks and punches at each other as well as many otherbrexciting jumping kicks and jump spinning kicks. They use protective gear andbrmust also execute moves with control. In order to win sparring rounds they havebrto score more points then their partner. It's incredibly high energy andbrexciting! You got to see it!
Students from age 4 to teenagers and adults arebrcompeting. Black Belt divisions are, of course, the most exciting and soughtbrafter and they start right at 9am and 10am. Here is the full tournamentbrschedule:
9:00am - All Black Belts (Adults and VIP, 14bryears old and up)
10:00am - All Black Belts (Juniors, up to 13bryears old)
11:00am - Junior Dragons, White, and YellowbrBelts
11:30am - Junior Orange Belts
12:30pm - Junior Green Belts
2:00pm - Junior Purple and Blue Belts
3:30pm - Junior Brown, and Red Belts
5:00pm - Men, Women and VIP Colored Belts (14brand up)

Spicar's Martial Arts have been providingbrpremier training in the traditional, self-defense oriented, “Blue Cottage”brstyle of Taekwondo in Southlake since 2008. They are a part of nationalbrorganization, Taekwondo America, which has member schools all over the UnitedbrStates. Spicar's is located inside the Kroger shopping center on East SouthlakebrBoulevard. Owners and chief instructors are Mr. Adam Spicar and Mrs. LuciebrSpicar who have been very involved in local communities since opening, andbrtogether with other DFW Taekwondo America schools have helped raise overbr$20,000 for local charities, including Holton's Drive for SIDS and AlportbrSyndrome Foundation of Texas.
