Eubanks IntermediatebrSchool welcomed a special guest to campus today: Tim Brown, former NFL player,brHeisman Trophy winner and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, helped kickbroff the school's fourth-annual EIS FUND-a-NEED campaign pep rally.
EIS students packed intobrthe gymnasium to hear Brown's motivating message of setting goals and workingbrhard to achieve them.
“You can think aboutbrbeing great, but you have to work,” said Brown during the pep rally.
Brown spoke about hisbrchildhood and early love of education and learning, encouraging students tobrreach their highest goals.
“How can you pushbryourself to be the best you can be academically?” he asked the students. “Youbrhave the opportunity to make something great of your life.”
Brown wore his Hall ofbrFame jacket during the pep rally and had hisbrHeisman Trophy on display as well. Brown also donated autographed footballs for the campaign, which aims to raise more than $40,000. Funds will help support teacher and campus needs through an onlinebrauction offering one-of-a-kind student experiences and teacher wish-list items.
