The Grapevine-Colleyville-Southlake Moms League gathered their 300-plus members for an evening of fun and fashion that ultimately raised $70,000 to benefit at-risk youth. “The Great Gala 2023” featured couture gowns and an avant-garde fashion show hosted by former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and reality star from ABC’s “The Bachelor,” Melissa Rycroft-Strickland.
The event, which benefitted the Stepping Stones Foundation in Keller, was a first for many of the guests in attendance. Local boutiques came together to wow guests through their one-of-a-kind looks coinciding with themes from the infamous Met Gala, always held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
In addition to the fashion show, attendees were also thrilled to participate in the raffle and live auction, which featured more than $40,000 in vacations, tickets and more.
“We are honored that the GCS Moms League chose us as their beneficiary this year,” Stepping Stones founder Christina Bynum-Breaux says. “Daily we see local children who are hungry, homeless, abused mentally or physically or involved in human trafficking, so connecting with these local moms means we will have more help rescuing these kids from their current situations. We were blown away by the magnitude of the event and forever grateful to the GCS Moms League.”
“I am delighted we are partnering with Stepping Stones Foundation,” says Brooke Kronschnabel, the lead gala planner for the GCS Moms League. “Our league is passionate about giving every child the opportunity to have a safe and fulfilling life, and Stepping Stones Foundation gives local children the critical help they need in order to be able to live a better life.”
