On November 2, the Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange held its 21st annual GRACE Gala at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. Emceed by NBC 5’s Laura Harris-Means and hosted by Theresa and Justin Mason of Grapevine, the black-tie event had more than 750 supporters in attendance. Proceeds from the annual black-tie event go to support all the organizations many programs.
“We were so appreciative of all the local communities, individuals, businesses and churches who joined us to share the ‘Stories of GRACE’ in our Community,” said GRACE CEO Rebecca Cox.
For the 16th year in a row, Classic Chevrolet Fleet & Commercial was the event’s presenting sponsor— leading a lengthy list of the most generous businesses and community partners around. The event turned out to be a “record-breaking success” per the organization’s social media accounts in part due to amazing live and silent auctions. Generous bidders tried to outdo each other during auctions for luxury trips to Maui, the Bahamas, the Amalfi Coast and Portugal – all with donated airline miles.
“On behalf of the Board, Staff, and most importantly the thousands that will be able to receive needed help this coming year because of your generosity, I want to say thank you to our community for helping GRACE see a record-breaking Gala this year,” said Cox.
Last year GRACE assisted 4,150 households. Funds raised all year and especially during the Gala help the organization keep up with the ever-growing needs of our community.
