Southlake has a new musical talent on the rise. Local teen and Dallas Jesuit senior Cam Crowley, professionally known as Bishop Ivy, released a new extended play record, also known as an EP, on Friday, February 8.
The EP, “All Things Temporary,” explores Cam’s journey centering on his family moving back to Texas from Boston. Each song handles a new reaction to Cam’s relocation and tells the story of how the artist eventually came to accept the move as another temporary challenge in his young life.
Cam got his start with music back in 2010 when he started taking lessons at the Southlake Music Academy. He continued pursuing his passion after moving to Boston by taking lessons at Brookline Music School and doing summer sessions at Berklee College of Music.
Now he is back and acting as the sole singer, songwriter and chief instrumentalist on the indie-pop track. The songs include elements of alternative pop, rock, trap and electronic music.
You can find his music on his website as well as Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Google Play and other popular streaming sites.
