In the four years since its inception, the Me Squared Cancer Foundation has made a significant impact on the lives of adults diagnosed with cancer in the DFW area. As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the achievements and contributions of the foundation.
Since 2019, the foundation has awarded financial aid to 391 patients, with a total of $922,000 disbursed. This year alone, the foundation has already provided $204,000 in aid. This financial support has been instrumental in easing the journey of cancer patients, covering costs such as medical bills, travel expenses and lodging for treatment.
The foundation has been particularly effective in supporting families earning under 400% of the poverty level, with 93% of the total amount awarded going to these families. This commitment to supporting those most in need is a testament to the foundation's mission. We thank our donors, our partners and our hard-working volunteers that have made this milestone possible.
However, the foundation's work is far from done. As we look to the future, we invite potential donors and volunteers to join us in our mission. With your help, we can continue to provide hope and support to those battling cancer, one patient at a time.
