On Wednesday morning, Post Malone fans woke up to exciting news announced on his Twitter page: His new Crocs line would be available at his old job at Chicken Express in Southlake.
The Grapevine-raised hip-hop artist, who’s real name is Austin Post, gave out his newest line of shoes to not only Chicken Express staff at 2120 E. State Hwy. 114, but also to the hundreds of fans who lined up outside the restaurant to grab a pair. The doors opened at 10:30 a.m., and Crocs public relations officer Kelly Molnar says supplies lasted for about an hour and a half before they ran out.
“Post really wanted to surprise his local community with the shoes ahead of the actual launch day to have his fans help spread the news about his next collaboration,” Kelly says. “You could tell it was a very cool experience for everyone.”
Kelly says fans got a pair of the new Crocs from purchasing the $6 “Posty” special, which included four chicken tenders, fries and a drink along with the footwear. Kelly says this is Crocs’ fourth collaboration with the Billboard Music Award-winning singer, with his previous line selling out within minutes of being available.
“He’s always been an authentic Crocs wearer,” Kelly says. “This fourth collaboration is actually designed by Post himself.”
Post Malone has released three studio albums under the Republic Records label, with his most recent album “Hollywood’s Bleeding” releasing this past September with hit singles including “Goodbyes,” “Circles” and “Take What You Want.” He is currently valued at $14 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, and he’s set to make an appearance in Mark Wahlberg’s upcoming mystery film “Wonderland" according to Billboard.
If you didn’t snag a pair of Post Malone’s newest line of Crocs on Wednesday, don’t worry – you’ll have a chance to purchase them at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Grapevine Mills Mall. Learn more about Post Malone and Crocs’ newest collaboration at Crocs.com.
