Over 30 volunteers were recognized for their dedication and service to Southlake during the city's service awards earlier this month.
According to MySouthlakeNews.com, over 1,100 volunteers served a total of 18,176 hours from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. Thirty-three of those volunteers were awarded with special recognitions on June 7, including gold, silver and bronze service awards. According to MySouthlakeNews.com, Linda Lucart was awarded the 500-hour Lifetime Service Award while Ken Stewart was awarded the 400-hour Lifetime Service Award.
“Volunteers are really the bedrock of this organization,” volunteer coordinator Lindy Calzada says via MySouthlakeNews.com. “Our mission is to serve our customers while building long-lasting relationships and life skills in those who invest their time with us. I think we accomplished that.”
