A Message From CEF Board Chair, John Irvine
Teachers are still teaching. Students are still learning. Thanks to our generous community and businesses, CEF WILL fund Carroll ISD teachers for the 2020-21 school year. We know this is a challenging time for our community. As a result of the global pandemic, CEF has canceled or postponed all fundraising activities and dramatically curtailed our communications.
We are still planning to do an online auction in place of our Culinary Celebration event, but are closely monitoring the fast-changing local and global situation to determine the appropriate time. Additionally, we feel an obligation to promote our amazing teachers and remain committed to supporting those businesses who support CEF and CISD who are struggling and, in some cases, have closed.
To further assist our CISD graduating seniors and alumni, our CEF and Alumni Scholarship deadlines have been extended to April 17, 2020 to give those students the opportunity to apply for the assistance they need, now more than ever.
We are thankful to our community for their strong support and are optimistic that we will emerge from this crisis and turn that commitment into resources for the benefit of all CISD students. We look forward to a brighter day for Southlake and the world.
Sincerely, John Irvine
Carroll Education Foundation Board Chair
