Carroll ISD welcomed a new executive director of special programs to the district during its board meeting earlier this week.
Stacie Bonner brings 18 years of special education experience to the district, with her educational career beginning in 2004 as a special education teacher for Wichita Falls ISD. After serving in the role for five years, she moved on to Lubbock ISD where she taught for four years before becoming the special services coordinator in 2013. During her time as a coordinator, Stacie oversaw specialized programs in grades elementary through high school, implemented instructional services and wrote assessments and instructional frameworks for the district.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, families and staff of Carroll ISD,” Stacie says according to the district. “I am looking forward to building relationships and working alongside them while helping support and grow the special programs department. I am humbled to be a part of the Dragon family.”
Stacie joins the special programs department and begins working with the district on Monday, Feb. 14.
