Less than two weeks ago, the Carroll Education Foundation celebrated the 2023 CEF Culinary Celebration: Casino Royale at the Westin Southlake. From the excitement in the casino and the delicious cuisine from 18 local chefs to an incredible live auction and raising over double what we did in 2022, this year was most certainly one for the books.
While we bask in the glow of a successful night of funding teachers, everyone knows great events don’t happen on their own. We are so thankful for the sponsors, like presenting sponsor Park Place Dealerships, and the generous donors who brought the party to life.
The CEF Culinary Celebration: Casino Royale would have never been possible without a very special group of volunteers — the Culinary Dream Team! For the past year, they have given countless hours of volunteer service to make sure this year’s event funded more teachers than ever before.
Thanks to the hard work of culinary co-chairs Andrea Gonterman and Stacey St. Charles, auction chair Meghan York, chef chair Karl Chester, decorations chair Stephanie Pennington and wine pull chair Richae Yeats Murphy, they did just that! The 2023 CEF Culinary Celebration: Casino Royale funded five teachers for the 2023-24 school year, and it wouldn’t have happened without our amazing volunteers who doubled down and went all in for our CISD teachers!
