The long-awaited return of the CEF Culinary Celebration will take place on April 8, 2022, at the Westin Southlake. Event co-chairs Stephanie Hays and Kali Sommer, both Dragon moms, have been working hard with their committee since September to make sure that this event is a fabulous experience for all who attend.
“We want everyone to have a fantastic experience at the event. But it’s not just about throwing a great event. It’s about supporting our children by supporting their teachers through CEF,” says Kali, who also volunteers on the CEF board of directors and SASO Girls.
Stephanie owns Hays Financial and is also a familiar face around town. Stephanie chaired the GRACE Gala in 2017, and last year, she helped organize the Southlake Foundation’s inaugural United We Run Color Run/Walk.
"This year’s Culinary Celebration theme is 'Friday Night Fever,' and guests are encouraged to dress to impress in their 1970s disco finest," says Stephanie. "The event will showcase 20 local restaurants and chefs with tastings that include everything from barbecue to sushi and everything in between.”
There will also be disco dancing, live and silent auctions, raffles and many other activities to entertain guests.
Another thing that is so special about this event is the Culinary Celebration’s longtime title sponsor, Park Place Dealerships.
“For the past 15 years, Park Place Dealerships has been a leading partner and champion of the Carroll Education Foundation (CEF). That partnership says a lot for their commitment to our teachers, schools and community,” says Alex Martin, CEF director of development.
As the title sponsor for the CEF Culinary Celebration, Park Place Dealerships has supported teacher classroom grants, scholarships and funded teachers through CEF. And this is just a small part of what they do for our community. Programs and events that support students and the future of our community are at the heart of why Park Place supports over 250 local nonprofit organizations through its #ParkPlaceCares community giving and support program.
“At Park Place, we pursue the highest standards of corporate responsibility in everything we do - and that includes supporting and empowering our team members to improve the quality of life in the communities where we do business. In addition, the 1,400 Park Place employees are further challenged to volunteer their time and resources to serve our communities,” says Anam Ali Hashambhai, marketing director at Park Place Dealerships.
