Circle Of Giving

For many of us, the holiday season is filled with gift-buying, cooking and celebrating. It’s also a time when many of us think about how we can give something back whether it’s time, talent or the simple gift of kindness.
At CEF, we are so grateful for our generous Dragon families, businesses and community. Whether you support our teachers and school district by becoming a Friend of CEF or as a member of the Superintendent’s Circle, your support is important because it helps us continue our mission of a community united to ensure excellence in education for all students in Carroll ISD -- a community united in providing private resources to ensure an exceptional education for all CISD students, now and for future generations of Dragons.
By supporting CEF, you are directly funding teacher positions that are not fully funded by the state of Texas through Chapter 41 of the Texas Education Code (a.k.a. The Robin Hood Act). These teaching positions include Learning Labs, Elective Teachers, Foreign Languages, Technology, Statistics, Calculus, Creative Writing, Fine Arts, Sports Programs and many others.
One of the cornerstones of CEF is our Superintendent’s Circle. This giving circle was established just five years ago. Each member donates $10,000 or more to the CEF Teacher Fund. In addition to other sponsor benefits, members of this giving circle receive special access to Carroll ISD Superintendent Dr. Lane Ledbetter at our intimate Superintendent’s Circle Dinner in April.
Leading this group of philanthropic-minded Dragons and local businesses is our title sponsor, Sewell Automotive Companies – and we couldn’t have found a better partner for this giving circle. Why? Because at Sewell, giving season isn’t just in December -- it’s year-round. Since 1911, Sewell has had a rich history of giving back to the communities they serve. Sewell’s "Customers For Life" mission and values are a perfect fit for the CEF Superintendent’s Circle of giving.
“This year, as you plan your end-of-year giving, we hope you will consider a gift to the Carroll Education Foundation," CEF Executive Director Alex Martin says. "Whether you become a new member of the Superintendent’s Circle or a Friend of CEF ($365 – just $1 a day), we truly appreciate your support."
