Dragons Rock The Night Away For Teachers!
Last spring, several PTO moms started talking about how busy families of young children are and that getting a babysitter for an adult-only event isn’t always practical. From their personal experiences, they saw that there was an opportunity for a community-wide, family-friendly fundraiser that would bring the community together for fellowship and a great cause – our Dragon teachers!
From there Southlake’s newest event, Dragons Rock The Night, was born. On Thursday, Nov. 16, the Carroll Education Foundation (CEF) will come together to rock the night away before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season kicks in. This family-friendly extravaganza, organized in collaboration with elementary school PTOs, is all about community and supporting our Dragon teachers.
"No one is busier than Southlake families with kids," says Noreen Kane, Dragon parent and Old Union Elementary PTO president. "With sports and extracurricular activities taking up most of our time, it is so nice to get an opportunity to sit back, relax and see friends at other schools at a fun, casual outdoor event."
For a single, low-priced family general admission ticket, everyone can get in on the fun.
