A new gym offering high intensity, low impact workouts, 3Volt Fitness opened in Trophy Club on Monday, July 20. The trainer-style instruction is not the only thing that makes 3Volt stand out. One of its owners is former Dallas Cowboys athlete Demarcus Ware.
The former Super Bowl Champion was a first round pick for the Dallas Cowboys in 2005 and spent nine years with the franchise. After becoming the Cowboys’ all-time leader in sacks and forced fumbles, he continued his career with the Denver Broncos, where he helped lead the team to its Super Bowl 50 victory. Ware retired from the NFL in 2017 after 12 professional seasons under his belt and returned to Texas.
“Throughout my entire career, there’s no doubt that I’ve been put in positions to lead,” Ware says. “From being a team captain 11 years of my career, I know how to lead a team of people. It’s time to lead people to live healthy lives.”
Ware teamed up with co-owners Angela Daniel, a previous fitness model and avid athlete, and Randi Chapman, a former D1 track and field NCCA All American, to open 3Volt.
Located in Beck Ventures’ Trophy Club Town Center, this fitness boutique features three rooms for its specialized training: one for sculpting, one for burning and another for power. There’s also an outdoor turf space for conditioning classes as well as youth training.
While opening in a pandemic is not ideal, the owners are ensuring that the studio is set up for success and to be safe for its clients. A technology system normally used in hospitals, Air PHX, keeps the entire facility clean. The rooms are also sprayed and wiped down between classes, and members’ temperatures will be checked prior to entering the studio. To learn more about the gym, visit its website or Instagram.
