A record number 12 inductees have been named to the Carroll ISD Athletic Hall of Honor class of 2021.
For the past 10 years, the Carroll ISD Athletic Hall of Honor recognized athletes, coaches and supporters that have defined Dragon excellence. Fred Maples is this year's coach inductee, and head football coach Riley Dodge will be recognized for his record as a Carroll athlete. Football players McKay Jacobson and Wayne Moffat were also recognized, as well as the 1988 and 2002 championship-winning football teams.
From women’s basketball, Paula Bailey Egger was recognized from the class of 1970, as well as Stephanie Luce Ola from the class of 2000. Softball player Katya Muller Winslow and tennis player Doug Fike were also named to the class while Dragon athlete Mark Feuchter was recognized for multiple sports. Plus sports information director Jay Armstrong was named as this year's supporter inductee.
“This is a pretty dynamic class,” vice-chair Robert Clayton says. “We have players, fans and coaches that not only started when the ISD was in its infancy, but have also gone through the program and came back to support Carroll athletics. They helped shape the program into what it is today.”
The 2021 inductee banquet will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Hilton Southlake Town Square. To purchase tickets or learn more about this year’s inductees, visit DragonHoH.com.
