After an impressive 13-2 season, 25 Dragons were named to the 2023 District 4-6A All-District First and Second Teams.
Led by Co-Offensive Player of the Year Graham Knowles and Offensive Newcomer of the Year Davis Penn, 13 members of the Dragon offense were recognized. Andrew Cunningham and Jonathan McLaughlin were both unanimous First Team selections and were joined by Trent Wilson, Harrison Moore and Jack VanDorselaer. Ben Karlsson and Riley Wormley were also named to the Second Team. On the wide receiving end, Jacob Jordan, Clayton Wayland and Brock Boyd all made First Team, while Caden Jackson made Second Team.
The Dragon defense First Team selections were led by Dustan Mark, a unanimous choice at defensive end who was also joined by fellow linemen Wyatt Duffy and Austin Davidge. Julian Manero was a Second Team selection.
The linebacker selections were Eric Garza and Zach Engelhardt on First Team and were joined by Bridger Jense on the Second Team. Cornerback Sam Fuller was the lone member of the Dragon’s First Team defensive backfield. He was joined on the Second Team by fellow corner Trey Ferri and safeties Carter High and Mitch Paulsen.
Rounding out the selections on Special Teams, kicker Kyle Lemmerman was also a First Team selection.
