Four Dragons won individual 4-6A All-District Awards following the conclusion of the football season. All the awards given to Dragons were announced via Carroll Football’s Twitter account.
Owen Allen was unanimously selected as the 4-6A All-District Most Valuable Player. During his impressive sophomore season, Allen rushed for 2,063 yards, caught for 218 yards and scored 29 touchdowns.
Another offensive player to receive an individual award was junior Landon Samson, who was named the 4-6A All-District Offensive Player of the Year. Stepping up while senior wide receiver Brady Boyd was out for part of the season with an injury, Samson caught for 1,293 yards and 15 touchdowns during the season.
On the defense side of things, both Cinque Williams and Logan Anderson received individual awards. Williams, a senior, was named the 4-6A All-District Defensive Player of the Year, recording 82 tackles, 2 sacks and one interception on the season.
Logan Anderson, a sophomore, was named the 4-6A All-District Defensive Newcomer of the Year. During the season, Anderson made over 70 tackles, knocked down four passes, made an interception and caused a fumble.
The Carroll coaching staff also got recognition for its efforts this season as it was named the 4-6A All-District Coaching Staff of the Year.
