So far, Dragon football fans have been able to enjoy the games from the comfort of their own home thanks to the livestreams of the games on DragonSportsNetwork.com and the Southlake Carroll Dragon Athletics App.
But on October 16, Dragon fans will also be able to tune into ESPN2 at 7 p.m. to watch Southlake Carroll take on Denton Guyer at home, according to a press release. The game is part of ESPN’s GEICO High School Football Showcase, which is currently in its 11th season.
The matchup of Southlake Carroll and Denton Guyer is set to be an explosive one. Denton Guyer currently ranks No. 5 in the state and No. 36 in the nation, according to MaxPreps. Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll is currently at No. 4 in the state and No. 11 nationally, according to MaxPreps.
In senior Eli Stowers, Denton Guyer has a four-star quarterback whose talents rival those of Southlake Carroll’s Quinn Ewers. So far in the season, Stowers, a Texas A&M commit, has thrown for 238 yards, two touchdowns and only one interception.
Denton Guyer also has a strong defense, recording 63 tackles and four sacks so far this season, with two games under their belt, according to MaxPreps.
